Our environmental commitment

The eac.'s actions and initiatives to reduce its environmental impact and promote sustainable development.

A sustainable art centre

At the end of 2021, the Espace de l'Art Concret began its environmental transition. Awarded the label of national interest in January 2020, the art centre has formalised its approach by setting environmental targets. As a committed local player, the eac. wanted to place these concerns at the heart of its practices.
To put this approach in place, in 2022 the eac. worked with Laurence Perrillat, co-founder of the Les Augures collective (Toulon), which supports cultural organisations in their transition thanks to its knowledge of the issues facing contemporary creation and the visual arts. Several meetings and seminars with the eac. team helped shape the approach and led to an action plan:
‍
• An awareness-raising phase
• An assessment of the organisation and its practices
• A 4-year action plan (2022–2025)

The art centre has engaged its public funders — the Town of Mouans-Sartoux, the Alpes-Maritimes Department, the Région Sud and the Ministry of Culture / DRAC Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur — as well as local partners in its approach, notably its bank, Crédit Mutuel de Mouans-Sartoux, which sponsored the first responsible and sustainable initiatives in 2022 and continued its support in 2023 by funding the exhibition IMPACT.

The eac. is part of the Ministry of Culture's Framework for Action and Cooperation on Environmental Transition (CACTÉ). As such, it implements the following methodological and thematic commitments:
• Sustainable travel for visitors and users
• Sustainable travel for professionals and artworks
• Responsible food
