Documentation centre

Researchers, students, teachers, professionals
or simply the curious!

This documentation centre holds more than 10,000 books,
focusing mainly on the artists in the collection. It also seeks to cover the visual arts in all their diversity
and above all contemporary art, as well as architecture, photography, fashion, design,
cultural policy and museology.

The collection includes monographs, group exhibition catalogues, audiovisual material, essays on art and general works on 20th- and 21st-century art, subscriptions to specialist journals, artists' books and many rare and valuable volumes. It was built up gradually from the catalogues and monographs acquired by Sybil Albers and Gottfried Honegger, and has since grown through generous donations from artists in the collection and regular acquisitions.
For more than 20 years, a policy of exchanging publications with documentation centres and libraries, as well as art centres, foundations and art schools, has steadily enriched the collection. It is complemented by annual purchases linked to the artistic programme. Records of new acquisitions are added to the catalogue, which can be searched on the Mouans-Sartoux media library's website.
